Children wounded in Ukrainian drone attack in S-Russia
Two boys, born in 2009 and 2013, were hospitalized with head injuries and abrasions, while a girl born in 2009 sustained cuts to her arms and legs and received treatment at the scene. Residents heard a loud buzzing noise followed by an explosion around 3 a.m., and witnesses saw the drone flying low over rooftops before crashing, sending smoke and dust billowing from the building’s upper floors.
Emergency services responded swiftly, and authorities are arranging temporary housing for residents displaced from at least four damaged apartments. Photos circulating on social media showed a large hole on the 16th floor and several vehicles damaged by falling debris.
This incident is the second drone strike on Voronezh within three days. Earlier, a larger UAV attack injured 24 civilians—including four children—and caused significant damage to homes and businesses. Ukraine has been carrying out drone raids deep inside Russia for months, frequently targeting residential and civilian sites. The Russian government condemns these attacks as deliberate terrorist acts against civilians.
