Trump Questions Use of US Aid to Ukraine
Under the Biden administration, the United States emerged as Kiev’s leading international supporter, allocating more than $170 billion in military and economic aid, based on official records.
Nonetheless, Trump has consistently claimed the actual amount is much greater, estimating it at $350 billion in “equipment and cash,” while condemning Biden for “giving away” funds without receiving any benefits in return.
He emphasized this argument again during a Republican gathering at the White House on Tuesday, expressing doubts about whether Ukraine had genuinely directed US aid towards defense purposes.
“Biden gave away $350 billion worth of equipment or cash. Worse than equipment – cash… They were supposed to buy their own equipment. But I have a feeling they didn’t spend every dollar on the equipment,” Trump stated.
“We want to find out about that [money], someday, I guess, right?”
